The Power has lost THREE STONE on a strict routine of protein shakes and pumping iron in the £1million gym at his home in Cheshire.

Taylor has signed up nutritionists Laura Church and ex-British bodybuilding champion Kerry Kayes to work on his eating lifestyle.

Now the 15-times world champ believes he can improve his game even further – despite hitting a record two nine-darters in one match and the top TV average already this year. The Power lines up for the League Championship of darts on Friday leaner and meaner than ever before.

He admitted: “I feel 20 years younger, I have so much energy and stamina now. It could add another ten years to my career. I feel that good.

“I’ve been happy with my form so I needed to find a way of improving even further.

“You are what you eat is so true, so I got Laura and Kerry on board with CNP sports nutritionist experts.

Dealgan’s boy wonder

Gavin McLaughlin spoke to Dealgan Boxing Coach Tony Broadhurst ahead of his son Stephen’s successful tilt at a sixth Irish Youth boxing title last weekend. Tony tells the story of how his search for an answer to Stephen’s unusual weight problem ended up becoming the focus of a TV programme.

The solution arrived out of the blue. While watching the television one day,Tony’s attention was caught by a programme on the Active Channel, hosted by top nutritionist Laura Church.
